Click here to print off an Entry Form. Please include a stamped, self addressed envelope so that your race bib can be sent to you before the event. Entry will be available on the day of the event (6:15am at the Bandstand at Picnic Point), but we advise preregistration because of large crowds in the area.
Can I fax my entry form?
Faxed entries will not be accepted.
How much does it cost to enter?
10km - all Individual Entrants $15 each or $30 per family (2 adults and 2 children)
4km - Individual Entrants $15 each or $30 per family (2 adults and 2 children)
All proceeds go to recipient charities.
What do I need to do after I have entered?
You will need to keep your event bib and wear this on the day to ensure entry.
Can I enter more than one person on the registration form?
No, unless it is for a family group of 2 adults and 2 children. Individuals must each separately enter a registration form.
Can I bring my stroller?
Strollers are permitted but entrants who bring an infant will be required to start at the rear of each event start.
Can I ride my bike alongside my friend who is running?
No. For safety reasons bikes, roller-skates, roller-blade and scooters are prohibited on the course.
Are there any rules for young children?
Children who intend participating in the 4km or 10km events must do so under the supervision of their parent or a guardian and should be entered and wearing a race number. It is the right of the organisers to remove any person without a race number from the course.
Where can I put my belongings while I'm participating in the event?
No facility will be provided for storage of personal items.
Can my child enter the 10km event?
There is no age limit for either event and we are aware that many families will want to walk the full course together as part of a special day out. It is up to the parent or guardian to decide if their child is capable of completing and enjoying the longer course.
Will there be a shuttle bus service from the finish area to the start area?
No, due to lack of patronage, we no longer offer a shuttle bus service. Participants are required to find their own way back to collect vehicles from the event start.
What road closures will be in effect on the first Sunday of March?
Check here closer to the event for information on road closures.
What is the history of Peak 2 Park?
HALT (Healthy Active Lifestyles Toowoomba Incorporated), is an independent group of local people which organises the Peak to Park fun run/walk to raise funds for local charities and to encourage residents of Toowoomba to participate in exercise.
The group first formed as a committee in 2005 with the goal to provide an avenue for Toowoomba residents to become involved in an event which highlighted the need to exercise in order to improve the health and wellbeing of Toowoomba families. Group members were concerned at the time about media reports highlighting the obesity epidemic sweeping Australia, particularly as it affects so many children.
The HALT committee decided to hold an event which made the most of Toowoomba’s scenic park and gardens by beginning at beautiful Picnic Point on the scenic rim of the Great Dividing Range and finishing at lovely Lake Annand, with its wide expanses of lawn. The two events on offer in the Peak to Park are over 4km and 10km distances, and both courses are nearly all downhill, which is appealing to those with lower levels of fitness. All proceeds are directed to charity.
The first Peak to Park event was staged in March 2006 and attracted over 2000 participants, raising close to $20000 for charity. The event has been highly successful in following years, with many local businesses coming on board to sponsor kilometre marker signs along both event routes. In 2010, our major sponsors are
The Chronicle,
Willows Health and Lifestyle Centre,
Indigo Web, and
Black Canvas.
