Event Day Schedule
10km event
The 10km event will start at the downhill section of the ringroad at Picnic Point at 7am. Assembly will commence at 6:45am.
4km event
The 4km event will start at 7.30am at the beginning of Heller Street, just south of Toobruk Drive. Assembly will commence at 7:15am.
Assembly Order (both events)
Runners - assemble at the front
Joggers - assemble behind Runners
Individual Walkers and Family Group Walkers - assemble behind Joggers
Strollers - assemble at the back to ensure your safety
Marshalls (volunteers)
Look for event Marshalls (volunteers) who will line the road at the start of both the 10km and 4km events. Police will be on hand to supervise road closures, supported by SES volunteers.
Post-event
Then after the events, participants and their families can sit back and relax on the grassy lawns of Lake Annand, enjoying fruit and water, while enjoying the post-race entertainment and atmosphere.
Transport and Parking
Getting to the start line
Car Parking will be available on the large grassed area next to Picnic Point from 6am where SES volunteers will act as guides. Additional parking is available on Rowbotham Street. Please be sensitive with noise levels, as this is a residential location. Police will be on hand to assist the flow of traffic.
Participants will need to walk the short distance from parking to the starting line.
Getting home after the event
Participants will need to arrange their own transport from Lake Annand after the event. Please be aware that road closures will affect route access.
Medical and Safety
If you are unable to continue at any point along the course, you should seek the assistance of an event marshal (SES volunteers, Police) who will obtain help as soon as possible.
Do not continue if you feel unwell. Your health and safety is important to us. First aid will be provided by St John’s Ambulance Service.

Road Closures
Road closures will occur at the various locations along the 10km and 4km routes for The Chronicle Peak2Park 2010 event on The first Sunday of March 2010. Please check back closer to event day for final road closure details.
